NEW! 2021 Mass Timber Design Manual

More and more, design and construction professionals are turning to mass timber to build everything from multifamily projects and commercial offices to signature public buildings and tall wood towers.

Since 2013, more than 1,000 multi-family, commercial or institutional projects using mass timber or heavy timber have been constructed or are in the process of design in the U.S., reports WoodWorks.

As a building system, mass timber is a must-know for architects, engineering and construction professionals, prompting industry professionals to seek out reliable research and resources.

To inform experts and novices alike, WoodWorks and Think Wood created their first Mass Timber Design Manual, a free, interactive resource offering a comprehensive collection of the most up-to-date information on topics from mass timber products and design best practices, to taller wood construction and sustainability.

“It represents years of research and collaboration among the WoodWorks staff and its industry collaborators,” said Tom S. Chung Principal, Leers Weinzapfel Associates, and Board of Directors, WoodWorks.
